CELEBRITY Big Brother star Stephanie Davis has been given a second chance in love as her boyfriend has confirmed he hasn’t dumped her.

Earlier this week it was reported that Sam Reece had announced he was no longer wanting to be with the Prescot actress after she was seen getting close to housemate Jeremy McConnell.

In a post that has been retweeted 17,000 times, model Sam wrote: “Hi everyone, I will no longer be supporting Stephanie Davis... Thanks for all your support and love you have given me!!”

While the media and viewers took his statement as meaning he had turned his back on his girlfriend, he since tweeted that he hasn’t dumped her.

He said: “I would like to clarify that Stephanie and I continue to remain a couple, irrespective of comments on social media, surrounding our relationship, saying that I’ve ‘dumped’ her as she still remains in the house.

“Monday’s comment was me withdrawing my support via social media for the time being. I will be talking to her when she leaves the Big Brother house.”

Later on in a separate post, Sam added: “I would never end a relationship over text or social media. I want to talk to Steph face to face.”

Meanwhile, former CBB housemate and Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby slammed Sam for being fame hungry.

She said: “That’s a bit fame hungry. He jumped after the attention, gained a lot of followers from it then all of a sudden he’s still with her.”

Monday night’s show saw the former Hollyoaks actress break down in tears in the diary room after kissing Jeremy. She told Big Brother: “I want Sam.

“I love him and so much and I just want to see him. I just don’t want Sam to be mugged off on the outside because I know Jeremy likes us, but he’s my best friend in here and I couldn’t be without him and we have a laugh.

“But I would be devastated if… I keep thinking about Sam being sad. I’ve not done anything but I’m just worried in case people try and say stuff when it’s not like that.”
