A St Helens woman has been convicted of failing to clean up an accumulation of waste at her home.

Lorraine Anders, of Ashurst Drive, had been served with a community protection order instructing her to tidy up.

Council officials ordered Anders to dispose of an accumulation of rubbish at her property.

When she did not she was taken to court.

She was proved guilty in her absence and fined £220 fine and ordered to pay £80 costs and £22 victim surcharge.
