St Helens residents can now raise pressing issues direct with one of their MPs.
Starting this month, St Helens South and Whiston representative Marie Rimmer will be holding local advice surgeries.
The former council leader said: “Since being elected in May I’ve been in contact with well over 1000 local residents to hear about problems they are facing and issues that matter to them.
“These surgeries will provide residents with a regular opportunity to meet with me to discuss their concerns.
“I have a full time office here in St Helens which helps me in my role as a constituency MP that residents are able to contact should they need to.
“I’ll also be out and about knocking on doors and talking to residents across the constituency in the coming weeks.”
The surgeries will take place initially on the first Friday of each month from 4pm to 5pm in St Helens town centre and on the second Friday of each month from 5.30pm to 6.30pm in Whiston.
Appointments can be made by writing to Marie at sixth floor century house, Hardshaw Street, St Helens, WA10 1QU, e-mailing email@example.com or calling 01744 752075.
Anyone unable to attend at these surgeries can also be offered an appointment at a mutually convenient time, Ms Rimmer’s office added.
