Council chiefs in St Helens are on the hunt for teenagers who fancy taking arms against invading zombie hordes.

But don’t worry, there’s not some X Files-style conspiracy afoot in the borough, rather it’s a special events scheme design to give youngsters something to do during the half-term break.

If you’re aged 14 to 17 and fancy pelting Zombies with paint for free then why not join St Helens Council’s Youth Service for six super ‘Fright Night’ events at the Special Ops Paintball Centre on Borough Road, St Helens, on the following dates:

Friday 30 October - 6pm

Friday 30 October - 8pm

Saturday 31 October - 6pm

Saturday 31 October - 8pm

Thursday 5 November - 6pm

Thursday 5 November - 8pm

The hour-and-a-half sessions can accommodate up to 30 zombie hunters - staffed by the Youth Service - and if any young person requires one-to-one support, a Key Worker can also have a place, providing it is organised beforehand.

Young people can also book onto more than one night if you think that it would be beneficial to them.

Places need to be booked prior to the event and a consent form also needs to be completed. The deadlines for completed consent forms are as follows:

October 23 for 30-31 October slots

October 30 for 5 November slots
