Most of the first teamers are expected to get a run-out against the Super League newcomers as Saints look to gain crucial match fitness ahead of the season opener.

New signings Joel Thompson, Sione Mata’utia, Agnatius Paasi and Dan Norman are all included and will likely make their first appearances in a Saints shirt.

Mark Percival will also feature for the first time since his hamstring surgery, while Alex Walmsley is another who is included after off-season knee surgery.

The only two players who miss out are Lachlan Coote and Joe Batchelor who are not being risked after picking up small, minor knocks in training this week.

Both are expected to be fit and available for selection for the season opener against Salford.

Leigh coach John Duffy includes the majority of his close-season signings as he aims to give as many of his squad some gametime as possible.
