MEMBERS of the public are being invited to suggest names for two 5 Boroughs Partnership buildings which are undergoing a £1.7m refurbishment.

The buildings, on Marshalls Cross Road which form part of Peasley Cross Hospital, will provide modern bases for the early intervention, home treatment and recovery teams - who all treat people suffering from mental ill-health.

“We want to create modern open spaces for staff to work in that are welcoming to service users visiting us for outpatient appointments,” said assistant director of adult services, John Heritage.

“We’re also hoping to create a new café area, which service users will have an active involvement in running. All we need now is names for our buildings – one for Adults Services and one for Later Life and Memory Services.”

Julian Eyre, assistant director of Later Life and Memory Services, added: “We have listened to and involved our service users and carers in the layout and aesthetics of these buildings so that we really do get it right.

“The final names will be decided in consultation with our service users, carers and staff, as well as our St Helens Member Councillors.

“This is an exciting opportunity and we look forward to hearing your suggestions.”

All suggestions must be submitted by April 29.

The competition winners will then be invited to an official unveiling of the chosen name at each site.
