HERE at the St Helens Reporter we’re used to chasing scoops...
But two of our staff are preparing for a very different challenge after signing up for the St Helens 10k.
News editor Andy Moffatt and sales representative Aimee Bradshaw will be raising cash for the Steve Prescott Foundation.
The pair decided to dust off their running shoes after reading in the Reporter about the work of former Saints star Prekkie’s foundation.
“The St Helens 10k is a fantastic event in aid of a really good cause,” said Andy.
“The Reporter will be covering the event on the day but there were a fair few people in the office who said they fancied giving it a go.
“Me and Aimee were the first to put our hands up.”
The first ever St Helens 10k was held last year.
This year’s race is expected to be bigger and better than ever, with more than a thousand runner expected to take part on March 11.
It is organised by ex-Saint Steve Prescott, who is battled a rare form of stomach cancer.
Sales rep Aimee has plenty of experience of gruelling challenges.
A second row forward with a local rugby league side, she has represented Great Britain’s Ladies RL.
