Raid police charge man, 30, with drug offences

A St Helens man was charged with drug offences following a series of dawn raids across Merseyside.

James Shipley, 30, of Chadwick Road, Haresfinch, stands accused of possession with intent to supply amphetamine, possession of a Class A controlled drug and possession of a Class B controlled drug.

He appeared before St Helens Magistrates’ Court last Friday (November 15), and was granted conditional bail pending a plea and case management hearing at Liverpool Crown Court on March 14 next year.

In total, 13 addresses were raided by police last Thursday morning (November 14).

One other man, from Liverpool, was subsequently charged.

Seven others were bailed pending further inquiries.
