A DRAMATIC discovery at Ashurst Primary School in Blackbrook had pupils puzzled – until the arrival of ‘Norris the North West Nest Expert’.

A nest containing three giant eggs appeared in the school grounds – and was promptly cordoned off with incident tape – generating huge amounts of excitement among the youngsters.

Other clues around the school – including the discovery of feathers, slime and footprints – heightened the sense of drama.

The project was part of a project to stimulate interest in writing with pupils encouraged to write to Norris to tell him what they had found.

Norris then arrived in person to talk to the children about the discovery.
