Police warning over potentially fatal lost medication

A batch of potentially fatal medication has been lost in Newton-le-Willows.

Police say the medication was lost at around 9.30pm on Friday, February 12 in the Crown Street area.

It consists of tablets and capsules of Ramipril; Bisoprolol Fumarate; Clopidogrel;

Metformin; Gabapentin; Ranitidine; Diazepam; Atorvastatin; Tamsulosin and a Ventolin inhaler.

Officers are reminding people that taking any medication which has not been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, can prove fatal.

Anyone who finds the medication is asked to hand it in at their nearest police station or dispensing chemist.
