RESIDENTS near a park in Parr can finally enjoy a bit of peace and quiet after police seized two off-road bike that were creating racket.

Insp Matt Boyle and Sgt Mark Stanistreet (pictured) stepped in after receiving complaints from people living near Nanny Goat Park about the riders of a junior motorcycle and quad bike.

They were tracked down to an address in nearby in Dudley Place and the machines seized.

The operation comes ahead of the launch of the annual Safespace campaign, which sees the council and community safety partners clamping down on a range of anti-social behaviour types – including off road motorcycling – as the nights stay lighter.
