Police in St Helens have set up a dispersal zone to ban groups of youths from congregating in Parr.
The dispersal zone started today (Friday) at 4pm and runs until midnight on Saturday and covers an area including The Duckeries and Gaskell Park.

Insp Matt Drennan said: “Tonight’s action is a response to reports of youths in groups involved in anti-social behaviour in Parr, which we are determined to tackle using all our available powers.
“These zones are not about bothering people, young or old, who are going about their legitimate daily business.
“However, we will be targeting people who are intent on causing anti-social behaviour or criminal damage, especially if they are gathering in large groups, which can be intimidating to others.
“These issues will of course be closely monitored and further dispersals will be authorised if appropriate.
“I welcome the information provided to us so far from the local community, and we will continue to respond to their concerns, to allow us to focus our resources on the right areas.”

Boundaries of the zone include Broad Oak Road to Derbyshire Hill Road, Derbyshire Hill Road to Swan Avenue, Swan Avenue to Berrys Lane, Berrys Lane to Fleet Lane, Fleet Lane to Lansbury Avenue.
Including; Fry Street, Reeves Street, Edmondson Street, Gaskell Court, Pennine Drive, Stretton Avenue, Cheviot Avenue, Sidlaw Avenue, Pentland Avenue, Ashton’s Green Drive, Blackdown Grove, Berwyn Grove, Concourse Way, Brooklane Lane, Moss Green Way, Moss Lane, Pond Green Way, Downland Way, Waterland Lane, Firthland Way, Mereland Way, Meadow Lane, Pool End, Croft End, Madison Close and Bromilow Road.
