He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall and of a medium build. He has a fair complexion, short dark hair and a moustache.

Originally from Londonderry in Northern Ireland, he speaks with a strong Northern Irish accent.

When he was last seen he is believed to have been wearing a black waterproof coat, grey jeans and black and white Adidas trainers. He also had a red baseball cap on which had a silver emblem on the front.

Michael often frequents the grounds of St Mark’s Church in Haydock. Officers also believe he may have travelled to Liverpool.

Officers and Michael’s family are becoming increasingly concerned about him and extensive inquiries are now being carried out to establish where he is.

Officers are appealing to Michael, or anyone who knows of his whereabouts, to contact them as soon as possible on the 101 non-emergency number. People can also call the charity Missing People on 116000.
