A car turned over and landed on its roof after crashing into a garden wall.
The red Ford Ka hit the wall outside a row of terraced houses on Station Road in Haydock at 8.50pm on Tuesday.
It also crashed into a parked car, causing damage to the vehicle, before coming to a stop on its roof.
Police were called to Station Road after the crash to investigate what had happened.
A recovery vehicle also attended to move the damaged car.
The driver, thought to be a man in his 20s, left the scene on foot and headed towards Church Road.
No-one else was involved in the collision.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about what happened to call them on 101.
