Two pensioners from St Helens have been arrested on suspicion of supplying ‘legal highs’ following a raid near a B&Q store.

The pair, a 69-year-old man and a woman aged 61, were arrested last week.

They were detained along with a 38-year-old man from Bolton and a 29-year-old man from Warrington.

All four were arrested after police stopped a group of people acting suspiciously near a B&Q store in Winwick.

They have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
