POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a family clinic.
Officers were called to Whiston Family Centre, in Old Colliery Road, following reports the centre had been burgled sometime between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Monday January 11.
Six paint ball guns were stolen during the incident, these are described as replica MP5 paint ball guns and it’s possible they have been offered for sale in the area.
CCTV from the centre and surrounding area is being sought and the scene has been forensically examined. Enquiries are on-going in the area.
Inspector Graeme Webster said: “This is a community centre and the theft of these paint ball guns means members of the community can no longer use this resource.
“It’s possible these paint ball guns are being used by criminals in the area or are being offered for sale. I’d urge anyone who has any information about their whereabouts to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
