A ST Helens man was fined for not muzzling his dog.

Stanley Winstanley, of Hewitt Avenue, Eccleston, admitted breaching a control order before St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Monday (January 21).

The order, which included permanent muzzling of his dog in public places, was imposed in a previous prosecution by council dog wardens in June 2011 after it attacked a man near Queens Park.

Winstanley, who was caught walking his dog along Exeter Street without a muzzle on, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £200 towards court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
