OAP dies after road crash in Newton

A pensioner died in Newton-le-Willow after he was in collision with a car.

The 90-year-old was hit on Siskin Close.

He was treated by paramedics at his home and was taken to hospital where he later died.

The incident happened on Wednesday, November 15 but police have only just made a public appeal for information.

Officers from the force’s roads policing unit are investigating.

The driver is helping with the investigation to establish exactly what happened.
