A nursery group rated “outstanding” by Ofsted has taken its eighth site with the lease of a 6,416ft two-storey space in St Helens.

The 10-year lease is at Unit 106 Mere Grange, Elton Head Road. Nursery sector law specialist firm, HRC Law, advised Portico Nursery Group on the deal.

Portico Nursery Group is a group of childcare facilities, headed by sister and brother team, Nicole Politis and Craig Jackson, with sites across Merseyside, Lancashire and the North West.

The group provides all-inclusive childcare facilities that cater for all age groups, as well as before and after school clubs.

This deal follows the news last month that Portico Nursery Group’s Nicole Politis was one of the Nursery Top 10 Most Influential individuals across the sector.

Speaking about the group’s most recent lease, she said: “It’s been an excellent year for the group and we look forward to providing outstanding, flexible and affordable childcare for parents and children in St Helens.”

Craig added: “With an ambitious vision to provide outstanding care and grow our business, it’s crucial to us to work with quality partners who have a genuine and deep sector expertise.

That’s why we were so pleased to have HRC Law on board. The firm has proven its credentials in the nursery sector as advisers to some of the most admired organisations in the industry.”

The deal was led by commercial property solicitor and partner at HRC Law, Helen Marsh.

Helen added: “We know clients are looking for a hassle-free transaction and for us to lead with solutions should any obstacles arise.

“We’ve been so impressed by the vision of Nicole and Craig and the team at Portico and look forward to watching them continue to build on their success.”
