Fun in the rain at Newton-le-Willows Town Show

It’s back and it’s bigger than - and here the Newton Show’s organisers explain what’s happening at this weekend’s extravaganza...

There are four weeks to go until the Newton-le-Willows Town Show, and we wanted to share some highlights with you. Please share these within your organisations.

We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Newton Town Show returns for the fourth time since Newton and Earlestown Community Group reintroduced it after a 13-year hiatus, and it is bigger and better than ever.

Some firm family favourites are back from previous years with Inch Perfect Trial Bikes and our ‘Huey’ Army Attack Helicopter arrival headlining the show once again this year.

We have a special treat with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight giving us a spectacular fly past with their Lancaster Bomber, Hawker Hurricane, and the iconic Supermarine Spitfire.

There’s lots to see and do for the whole family, with local stars such as Valley Brass, Hawks R Us, Mucky Mountains Morris Dancers, the George Formby Society, Mollie Neal, ferret racing, and SKK Judo providing us with entertainment throughout the day. We’ve also got some new appearances this year featuring Jen Ashton, Nemesis Dance, and many more.

For the first time ever you will be able to book a helicopter tour of Newton-le-Willows on the day of the show – a fantastic opportunity to see your town from a unique vantage point and to create some fantastic memories to treasure forever.

We are running a raffle to win a FREE flight – tickets can be bought online from NewtonTownShow.com

For those of us loving an adrenaline rush we have also got the Segway rally, and a firing demonstration from a vintage artillery field gun.

Not to forget the fantastic funfair, providing excitement for all the family, and Warrington and District Motor Club and their spectacular motorsport demonstrations.

We’ve also got our usual range of competitions – Arts and Crafts, Tug of War, and the Classic Car show.

In response to feedback from the community, we have revolutionised our food provision at the show this year. We’ve got a range of high-quality local providers giving us a range of exciting options to suit any taste.

The outstanding Snoutwood Trotters are giving us a treat with their free range, local bacon barms, hog roast, and pulled pork burgers.

North West Game are bringing us something a little different, such as venison burgers, game hotdogs, and barbecued venson. For a real treat, The Fish Bay are coming with their converted vintage VW campervan traditional Fish and Chip shop. Scott’s Deli in Earlestown are also coming along, providing you with a whole range of sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and salads, as well as Pimmies Pies.

We also have our friends from the Oven Door Café in Haydock bringing along some family favourites – hot chicken barms, beef burgers, and hotdogs.

Not forgetting our sweet treats, we also have Dinky Donuts and Mr Curly Top ice creams for those special treats!

So there is something for everyone at the Town Show this year. We are grateful to all our stallholders, advertisers, and sponsors for making this all possible, and to the local schools, churches, community centres and voluntary organisations who support us in so many ways throughout the year to make Newton Town Show the biggest and best event in the region.
