New mediation service opens in St Helens

The Millennium Centre, St Helens has opened its new mediation service with the launch of the Mediation Centre.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was opened by David Steer QC DL, with opening speeches by Tony Richards MBE, chief executive chairman of the Millennium Centre and Lynn Steward, mediation services manager.

The Mediation Centre will provide a hub for mediation services in the area covering St Helens, Warrington, Wigan, Widnes, Merseyside and West Lancashire.

A spokesman said: “We will be providing mediation in family, civil, commercial, landlord/tenant, neighbour disputes and many other issues that require mediating.

“A drop-in service will be available for family issues on the second Tuesday of each month and civil and commercial issues on the third Tuesday of each month in the new Mediation Centre from 10am to noon.”
