Solar panel installer Redsky Solar has announced a raft of new appointments as part of the company’s continued growth and commitment to creating jobs in the area.

Starting with five new positions, Redsky hopes to create 65 jobs over the next two years.

The news comes after the company has won numerous contacts to install Solar PV systems on commercial, domestic and public sector buildings nationwide.

Managing Director Paul Smith said: “We are pleased to be able to strengthen our team in the light of sales growth and rising demand for quality and industry-accredited Solar PV installations.

“Redsky, supported by parent company Longworth’s 150-year heritage in the roofing industry, can offer Solar PV installation by true roofing experts, something which is proving popular with clients seeking reassurance that switching to solar power won’t damage their roof.

“We were keen to build on the success we have enjoyed in the first months of trading and recruit the right talent to continue to expand the business.”

Redsky has appointed Justin Dring in the role of contracts manager and he brings with him six years of experience in the solar industry.

Two new business development managers, Paul Hatton and Ben Parker, will be capitalising on their experience within the solar and construction industries to manage teams nationwide to achieve growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

New contract supervisor Michael Lee and marketing and administration assistant Amy Johnston have also joined Redsky’s head office to help the company service rising demand.

Paul added: “We are pleased to be able to welcome Justin, Paul, Ben, Michael and Amy to the Redsky team and look forward to working with them to strengthen our market position over the coming months and years.

“We are also proud to have been able to create jobs in the local area and hope to be able to continue to create employment here in St Helens.”

Leading building envelope contractor The Longworth Group launched renewables division Redsky Solar in August 2014 to offer solar panel installation to domestic, commercial and public sector buildings.
