A man found dead on the M62 over the weekend has been identified as a man in his 20s from Whiston.
Police were called to the scene at around 4.20am on Sunday following reports of a crash involving six vehicles between junctions five and six of the eastbound M62, near Tarbock Island.
A deceased male was located on the carriageway, while one of the car drivers was taken to hospital with a minor injury.
A police spokesman said: “Enquiries remain ongoing to confirm the identity of the deceased man and establish the full circumstances.”
