A MAN has been charged on suspicion of assault of a man who was putting up Christmas lights.

Jordan Mallett, 21, from Greenhall Court, Prescot has been charged with assault and bailed with conditions not to enter Prescot town centre.

At about 1.15pm on Saturday, November 28, officers received a report that a contractor putting up Christmas lights on the High Street was threatened and punched to the face and head. The man was not seriously hurt but was left shaken by the ordeal.
