Man back in court over town hall roof top protest

A man charged with staging a roof top protest on St Helens town hall - causing £11,000 worth of damage in the process - is due in court today (Monday).

Shaun Adamson, 33, is expected to appear at Liverpool Crown Court to answer charges of damage and affray.

A protestor climbed on top of St Helens town hall on Saturday, September 19 to highlight the plight of homelessness.

Council chiefs estimate the protest caused damage costing £11,000 to repair.

Adamson, of Sinclair Avenue, Orford, has not yet entered a plea.
