Kind-hearted pupils at Queens Park primary school in St Helens are now sporting new hi-viz jackets after a big thank you from St Helens Rotary Club.

They provided matched funding for the jackets for the children to use when going on school trips to help ensure the their safety. The school and St Helens Rotary have built up a very positive working relationship.

Recently pupils raised funds to help purchase a Shelter Box which was sent to the Phillipines by the Rotary Club to provide shelter and warmth for those affected after the recent disaster.

Headteacher David Thorpe said: “The children and families at Queen’s Park are always on the lookout of ways of helping those less fortunate or in need.”

“As a thank you the Rotary offered to match fund for the hi-viz bibs and these will be used to good effect in school.”
