Police are appealing for the public to be cautious after prescription medication was left on a bus travelling between St Helens and Earlestown yesterday (Tuesday, December 9).

The lost medication comprised a quantity of sleeping tablets and tablets for the treatment of arthritis.

Officers are reminding people that taking any medication which hasn’t been prescribed for them can be dangerous and can even prove fatal.

Anyone who finds the medication should hand it in to a pharmacy, police station or hospital.
