Kiera Weather lit up the dark winter night when she performed at St Helens’ Christmas lights switch on.

Kiera, 18, from Clock Face, was the chief supporting act for this year’s Victoria Square extravaganza, which was headlined by former Girls Aloud star, Nadine Coyle.

This year’s show also saw X Factor Finalists, Alien Uncovered, Britain’s Got Talent finalists Entity Allstars - along with singer-songwriter Calum Scott perform on the bill – and will feature appearances from Emmerdale’s TV star and Inside Soap best actor winner, Michael Parr (Ross Barton); St Helens Rugby League stars Alex Walmsley and Tommy Makinson; Tyrers Department Store Father Christmas, and local boxing world title challenger, Martin Murray will prove to be a real knock-out hit with fans as he drops by before his date with destiny in Hanover on November 21, where he will take on Germany’s Arthur Abraham for the WBO super-middleweight title.
