Organisations across St Helens are being invited to join the borough’s Armed Forces Day parade.
The national event on Saturday, June 25 is an opportunity to show your support and salute our forces for all they do.
Among those expected to attend is former soldier Andy Reid, who lost both legs and an arm following a bomb blast in Afghanistan.
Organisations who would like to join the parade are asked to report to the Parade Marshall and assemble with their Standard on Birchley Street, at the side of the Town Hall, by 11.40am on the day.
Then at 11.50am, the parade will advance across Victoria Square to the War Memorial, attended by the Mayor and the Civic Party for a service at noon.
Once the parade has concluded, all invited guests, members of the Armed Forces, Veterans, Cadets and other organisations attending the parade will be welcomed back to St Helens Sea Cadets (TS Scimitar), Mill Street Barracks for refreshments.
If you’d like to take part, confirm your attendance to Tony Bull on 07882715426 or at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, June 6.
