A scheme to restore historic areas of Prescot has been awarded a £250,000 grant.

Six buildings in Eccleston Street in the town centre will benefit from the cash injection.

The buildings will transform empty upper floors into three new dwellings, as well as restoring three shop fronts and general repair and restoration to the buildings.

Councillor Dave Lonergan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration Economy and Skills said “Prescot is a town steeped in history and through the THI, we are helping to preserve and protect some of the most historic buildings.”
