Funnyman Johnny Vegas has been signed up to make a guest appearance at St Helens Chamber’s 2018 annual dinner dance.
The January 19 event will take place at Haydock Park Racecourse.
Johnny, real name Michael Pennington, was raised in Thatto Heath and eanred his comedy stripes at the Citadel in St Helens.
His after-dinner speech will include regaling audiences with tales from his time as a trainee Catholic priest through to his evolution into one of Britain’s best-loved comic actors.
Tracy Mawson, deputy chief executive at St Helens Chamber, said: “The Annual Dinner Dance is the jewel in the crown of our networking programme, and I’m sure that this year’s event will be no exception.
“We’re delighted to be able to welcome Johnny Vegas as our guest speaker this year, and interest in the event is already providing to be high so Members are encouraged not to delay in securing their tickets.”
Sponsored by GPW Recruitment the Annual Dinner Dance is a Members only event. Ticket price includes a welcome drink, three course meal, entertainment, music and dancing, priced at £75+VAT per person or £700+VAT for a table of 10.
