Helping to save 120 lives


A SAINTS fan has been honoured after he was revealed as the town’s most dedicated blood donor.

Eric Appleton, from Eccleston, has seen a fair share of blood spilt on the battlefield watching Saints and the club inspired him to top the charts at recent National Blood Service Events in St Helens.

He has has rolled up the sleeves on his Saints shirt no less than 40 times, a feat that will affect around 120 lives!

Neil Simms, Donor Relations Coordinator of the National Blood Service, said: “We were delighted to award two complimentary Saints match tickets for Eric.

“We really appreciate Saints running this competition and all the fans for getting involved.”
