Popular fashion store H&M is to open an outlet in St Helens.

The new store will be opened in Church Square before Christmas.

It is another boost to the town’s economy after the opening of what is reputed to be the biggest Fat Face store in the UK here in St Helens.

Charlotte Watkins, of LaSalle Investment Management, which runs Church Square shopping centre, said: “The

letting to H&M will bring a further major High Street fashion brand to Church Square Shopping Centre, St Helens, strengthening the scheme’s offer and cementing it as the primary destination for fashion in the town.

“This deal is testament to our team’s successful and proactive asset management. We were collaborating closely with the retailer to provide H&M with a unit that suited its specific requirements.

"Church Square Shopping Centre is already home to a range of established high-street stores, such as River Island, BHS, Boots and Superdrug, along with independent retailers.”
