FORMER Hollyoaks actor Stephanie Davis will not be heading into the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
Davis had been widely tipped to be one of the 13 celebrities who would fly to Australia for this year’s installment of the reality show, due to start on Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
But the Prescot actor tweeted that medics had deemed it too dangerous for her to go on the show because of a severe nut allergy.
She wrote: “Yes it’s true, I was signed up for I’m A Celebrity but die to a severe nut allergy it would be unsafe for me to take part in the jungle.
“I’m absolutely gutted as it would have been a brilliant experience and sure I would have had you all laughing your socks off.
“Don’t worry though, there are amazing stuff coming up for me so keep your eyes peeled.
“Good luck to my fellow camp mates this year. I will be watching.”
Her place will be taken by her old co-star on Hollyoaks, Jorgie Porter, who plays Theresa McQueen.
Also heading into the jungle are Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, TOWIE star Ferne McCann, boxing champ Chris Eubank and ex-England midfielder Kieron Dyer.
Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, presenter Susannah Constantine, Most Haunted’s Yvette Fielding, X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman, Union J’s George Shelley, Royal biographer Lady Colin Campbell and Dragon’s Den mogul Duncan Bannatyne will complete the line-up.
