A kind-hearted florist in St Helens hopes that her colourful fundraising idea will prove to be a huge help for Willowbrook Hospice.
Louise Webster, 45, from The Olive Grove is a survivor of cancer who wants to do all she can to help those who are less fortunate than she was.
Nutgrove-based Ms Webster is offering nine beautiful Mother’s Day bouquets as prizes in a raffle that she has organised.
Ms Webster said: “Nine years ago, I was told that I had cancer.
“Thankfully I survived, but the experience has taught me that I should always give back in life.
“I realise how lucky I am but I know that not everyone is as fortunate as I was.”
For a chance to win, residents are asked to choose a number between one and 300, and either, telephone, email, or visit The Olive Grove Florist with a £3 donation.
The raffle draw will take place on March 3 ahead of Mothering Sunday and bouquets will be delivered to a location of the winners’ choice.
Ms Webster said: “Willowbrook Hospice does a wonderful job of caring and supporting local people when they most need it.
“Designing bouquets is something I love so I decided to raise some cash for Willowbrook by raffling 9 hand-tied Mother’s Day bouquets – because without our mums where would we be!”
