Detectives in St Helens are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 13-year-old boy who has gone missing from his home in St Helens.

Lynden Hodgkinson was last seen at his home on Cambridge Road in West Park on Saturday (January 4).

Since he was reported missing, officers have been conducting house-to-house inquiries and scanning CCTV footage of areas he is known to frequent.

The youngster is described as being white, 5ft 3ins tall, of slim build with short, mousey coloured hair.

At the time he disappeared, it is believed Lynden was wearing a black and blue tracksuit and grey Nike 110 trainers.

Police say one of the teenager’s favourite haunts is the Hotties canal in the town centre and Taylor Park in Thatto Heath.

Originally from Blacon near Chester, officers are also working on the possibility he may have returned there.

Anyone who knows Lynden’s whereabouts should contact police on 0151 777 6952, or via the police non-emergency 101 number, or Missing People on 116000.
