Planning chiefs have approved a plan to transform a vacant building on North Road into a bar.

The proposals will see the ground floor of 25 North Road retained the first floor flat despite two letters of objections.

They had raised concerns about late night noise, possible confrontations, smoking, and drug activity.

But the planning application stated that the proposal would fit in with the surrounding retail, food and licensed outlets in the area.
