Police want to speak to this man after a bus passenger indecently exposed himself to a 19-year-old woman.

Officers were called after a man got onto a 10A service bus on Bridge Street, St Helens, at around 10am on Monday, 8 September. He walked to the back and sat down.

A woman got on at the same stop and sat down near to the offender. She then noticed that he had indecently exposed himself.

The witness immediately moved away and subsequently reported the matter to the police.

Inquiries into the incident are described as “ongoing”.

DC Victoria Grant, St Helens CID, said: “The woman was clearly very distressed by what was happening on the bus and has reported the incident to us.

“As part of our ongoing inquiries, we have issued CCTV images of a man who we think may have important information which could help with our investigation.

“I would appeal to the man, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information can call detectives in St Helens CID on 0151 777 6811 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
