Saints fans have taken to Twittersphere to poke fun at the controversial referring decision to award Ryan Hall’s match-winning try against Leeds.
Despite not appearing to place any downward pressure on the ball as it crossed the whitewash, Hall was given the last-gasp winner.
But despite taken umbrage at what they saw as a referring mistake costing Saints the chance to defend their Super League crown at Old Trafford on Friday against Wigan Warrirors, many fans were able to remain philosophical.
Creating the amusing hashtag #ThingsWithTheSameDownwardPressureAsRyanHall, they posted a number of photos in a sarcastic jibe.
Disgruntled Saints fans were quick to vent their fury with their hashtag.
