POLICE are hunting a teenage fisherman after a 13-year-old girl was inappropriately touched in St Helens.
At about 7pm on Saturday, July 30, officers received a report that a 13-year-old girl had been inappropriately touched near to the Pilkington lake, off Alexandra Drive.
The offender, who is believed to be about 15-years-old, had previously been fishing in the area with two other youths.
He is described as white, tall, of medium build, with very short blond or light brown hair. He has a clear, pale complexion, a black mark on his lower lip and spoke with a Liverpool accent.
He was wearing a black round-necked t-shirt, dark jeans and trainers with a dark stripe on the side.
Detectives have now released this e-fit image in the hope that it may jog someone’s memory or conscience.
DC Roy Waller, of St Helens CID, said: “We are appealing to anyone who recognises the youth from this e-fit to come forward with information so we can eliminate him from our inquiries.
“This was an upsetting incident for the young victim and I would hope that the two other teenagers, who are not suspects but were with the offender so obviously know who he is, come forward so we can help to bring her some comfort.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 6802 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
