Death crash driver pleads guilty

A ST Helens man who has admitted causing death by dangerous driving is set to be sentenced later this month.

Jack Chapman, 22, of Fairfield Road, Dentons Green, admitted causing the death of much-loved grandmother Maureen Keenan, 77, following a crash on James Street, Rainhill, on April 5 last year.

He is due to be sentenced before Liverpool Crown Court on June 28.

Peter Knowles, 22, of King Edward Road, Rainhill, who had already admitted dangerous driving after his car collided with a telegraph pole in the same incident, is also set to be sentenced.
