A drugs warrant carried out at a home in St Helens has led to two arrests.
Neighbourhood officers forced an entry into a property in Lowe Street, at around 9.30am on Thursday.
A search of the house was undertaken and a substance, suspected to be cocaine, was recovered by police.
Police have confirmed that a 51-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.
Later both of the suspects, after being interviewed, were released on bail pending further investigations.
A St Helens Police spokesman said: "We will continue to fight the war on drugs and the organised crime behind it."
