An appeal has been issued after CCTV footage was captured of suspected burglars in Rainhill.
Two intruders were caught breaking into a property in View Road on Thursday, June 22, but police have only now released the footage.
Police say at around 4.25pm two men were seen running from the property with suspected stolen property.
One member of the public chased the pair and spotted them climbing over a wall at Rainhill railway station and escaping.
The first man was said to be white, around 5ft 8in tall, mid 20s, of medium build, wearing a black jacket with red writing on the shoulder saying 'Superdry', black bottoms and blue trainers.
He had a shaven head, on top of which he was wearing sunglasses, and he was carrying what appeared to be a black backpack.
The second man was also said to be white, around 6ft tall, mid to late 20s, wearing a grey two-tone jumper with 'MCK' on the front, grey tracksuit bottoms, and carrying a green jacket over his arm. He also has a shaven head or closely-cropped stubble length hair which appeared grey and black. He was holding a light-coloured bag.
Det Con Roy Waller said: "A laptop was stolen from the house and I would appeal anyone who recognises these men to get in touch as we need to speak to them.
"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in View Road around 4pm, or men running off towards the station, please get in touch."
