FIREFIGHTERS had to be called out after loose bricks tumbled into the road from an unsafe chimney stack.
Crews from Eccleston attended to a property on Morris Street, Sutton, at 11.30am on Sunday, April 28. They quickly cordoned off the area and used a nine-metre ladder, roof ladder and rope access gear to remove bricks from the roof to make the chimney stack safe.
Firefighters also requested a building surveyor from St Helens Council to attend and advised the occupier of the property to contact their landlord. Crews were at the scene for nearly two hours.
