Police are appealing for help in tracing a convicted burglar who has breached the conditions of his release from prison.
James Anthony Boffey had been jailed in October 2011 for almost six years for being part of a gang who targeted homes in affluent parts of Cheshire.
The burglaries involved the gang forcing their way into luxury properties to steal valuables, often when families and children were at home.
Boffey, 31, is originally from Fazakerley in Liverpool but also has links to Rainford in St Helens.
He was released from HMP Liverpool on March 24 2015 to serve the rest of his sentence on licence but has failed to adhere to his licence conditions and was recalled to prison by the Home Office on July 23.
Despite extensive efforts by the police to find him he remains outstanding and officers need the public’s help to find him.
Anyone who knows where James Boffey is or thinks they have seen him recently is asked to call the prison recall team at Wavertree police station on 0151 777 5466 or leave information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
