Police are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of 50-year-old Michelle Schofield, who has been missing from her St Helens home since Saturday (December 6).

At around 9.30pm, Michelle is believed to have made a telephone call to the ambulance service from a kiosk at the junction of Kirkstone Avenue and Bowness Avenue in Moss Bank.

Since then, she hasn’t been seen and isn’t thought to have made contact with friends or family.

Following the call, a report was made to the police and officers are now carrying out inquiries to establish her whereabouts.

Michelle is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, and of a heavy build. She is currently believed to have shoulder length brown hair.

Michelle lives in the Moss Bank area.

Officers are now becoming increasingly concerned about her welfare, and are appealing to Michelle, or anyone who has seen her since last night, to get in touch with them as soon as possible.

Anyone with information can call police in St Helens via the 101 number or the Missing People Charity on 116000.
