Detectives say they are becoming increasing concerned for the welfare of a missing teenager who was last seen in St Helens.

Leon Johnson, who is also known by the surname of Hyde and lives in Stockport, was last seen on Church Street, St Helens, on Tuesday, September 22.

The 14-year-old is described as being white, around 5ft 6in tall, and of slim build with a fair complexion, short brown hair and brown eyes.

He speaks with a Lancashire accent and has braces on his teeth.

Leon was last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey jogging bottoms, black trainers and a dark cap.

He is known to frequent the St Helens town centre area.
