St Ann’s Millennium Centre holds a table top sale between 10am and 2pm. Tables cost £5. Call 0151 493 9350 to book a place.

* All Saints Church, in Ellamsbridge Road, Sutton, is holding a attic sale from 10.30am. There will be many stalls and breakfast refreshments available. Admission costs 20p.

l Ormskirk Street United Reformed Church stages an organ recital by Michael Wynne. A meal will be served at 6.30pm and the recital will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £10 from the church office.

l St Austin’s Ladies Group hold an attic sale in the parish hall on Scholes Lane, Thatto Heath from noon.

l St Nicholas Church in New Street, Sutton, is holding a jumble sale from 1pm.

Sunday, October 13

A service for individuals and their loved ones suffering from cancer will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Fingerpost, from 6pm. Candles and laterns will be lit in memory of loved ones.

Monday, October 14

St Mark’s Church in North Road will host the King’s Community Choir. This free concert will include music from classical through to popular. The concert starts at 7.30pm. There will be light refreshments and a retiring collection for charity.

Thursday, October 17

The Friends of Sacred Heart Church hold a jumble sale at Holy Cross church hall from 6.30pm.

* St John the Baptist Church, St John Street, Earlestown will be hosting the next meeting of its Lynk-Up Group. If you’ve lost someone close, now or in the past, and would like to call in for a cuppa and maybe a chat in a friendly atmosphere, the group will be there from 2pm until 4pm.
