FRIDAY, MAY 4: Peasley Cross United Reformed Church, Beaufort Street, St Helens, will hold a rummage sale at the church from 6.30pm.

saturday, may 5: St Nicholas Church, New Street, Sutton, is holding a fundraising jumble sale, starting at 1pm.

tuesday, may 8: St Aidan’s Church in Billinge will hold toddler church from 9am. All pre-school children welcome. There will be simple worship, stories and play, as well as refreshments.

SATURDAY, MAY 12: Rainford Parish Church Shop opens its doors from 10am in the parish hall. Items for sale include books, glassware, jewellery and furniture. The shops is open every day until May 18 and opens from 10am to 4pm (closing at 2pm on Friday).

thursday, may 24: The next meeting of St Aidan’s Mothers’ Union takes place at the John Eddleston Centre with the Rev Norman Price, starting at 7.30pm.

monday, may 28: St Aidan’s Church in Billinge hold a Jubilee tea and chat from 1.30pm in the Eddleston Centre. There will be tea and chat.

wednesday, may 30: The Celebration Choir will hold a rock gospel evening entitled Stand-up, Stand-up for Jesus’ at the Sutton Oak Welsh Chapel, Lancotts Lane, Sutton, from 7.30pm. Admission is free. For more details call 01744 25185.
