THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16: St Johns the Baptist Church, St John Street, Earlestown, have started a Lynk-Up Group for those in the community who may have lost someone close, or are just feeling lonely or unable to cope. Come and have a cup of tea or coffee in a friendly relaxed and informal setting, with others in the same situation 2pm and 4pm on the 3rd Thursday each month. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17: West Street Independent Methodist Church stages at concert with the Aughton Male Voice Choir, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5.

Thursday, February 23: St Aidan’s Church’ Mothers’ Union in Billinge holds its next meeting. The speaker will be Albert Harrison on ‘The story of the church in Billinge’. The meeting starts at 7.30pm at the John Eddleston Centre

TUESDAY, MARCH 6: United Reformed Church, Ormskirk Street, hold a Lenten Organ Recital with Peter Kwater from noon. Tickets cost £10. Lunch is served at noon and the recital starts at 1pm.

ST Peters Church in Newton-le-Willows is running an Alpha Course on Tuesday evenings from 7pm. The venue is the Pied Bull Hotel, High Street, Newton. All are welcome, Contact Mark Webster on 07905 995464 for more details.
